The System
Introduction
EPGP stands for Effort Points/Gear Points. Effort Points (EP) quantify the effort each member put towards the, hopefully common, guild goals. Gear Points (GP) quantify what loot each member got back in return. Loot priority (PR) is computed as the quotient of the two:
PR = EP/GPThe person with the higher PR gets the first say on loot. As a result, the more effort you put the more gear you receive. As a matter of fact, the gear you receive is proportional to the effort you put. EPGP is based on this simple principle, but there are some complexities that need to be dealt with which will be covered below.
Decay
In order to award recent effort more than past effort, which in effect avoids PR hoarding for veterans and enables new coming and dedicated members of a guild to be awarded properly, EPGP supports a decay mechanism. Decay simply removes a chunk of EP and GP from the totals, effectively leaving PR unchanged. For example with a decay of 10% applied each week, for each 7 days that pass your effort's rewards get diminished by 10%. The effort you put 10 weeks ago will only be worth 34.8% of what it did when you received it ( (1-0.1)10).
Priming the system
A loot system should behave reasonably not only in its steady state but also when new members join a guild and the guild's efforts. For this reason some extra parameters need to be setup.
Base GP
Base GP adds a certain GP to each member of a guild. This means the final GP of each member is: GP = BaseGP + RealGP. All PR computations happen on GP not BaseGP or RealGP. Decay also applies to GP as a whole but it only diminishes RealGP. As such GP can never be lower than BaseGP. For example, say we have BaseGP = 100 and RealGP = 10. Applying a 10% decay will result in RealGP = 0 for a total of 100 GP.
Base GP prevents new recruits or long time inactive members from trumping your dedicated members just because their GP is 0 and thus their PR infinite.
Min EP
Min EP puts a limit, which members should exceed in order to have any loot priority. This is more or less an attendance check and a road block for new members to reach a point after which they can need on loot. Anyone below MinEP has in effect lower PR then everyone above MinEP even if their effective PR is higher. For example MinEP = 10000 and member A has 20000 EP and 4000 GP for 5 PR and member B has 1000 EP and 100 GP for 10 PR. In this case member A has higher priority for loot since he/she is above the MinEP threshold even though his/her PR is lower than member B.

Hello there! Here is some news for everyone that is interested in joining the guild. We are currently looking for a Mage or a Warlock to fill out a ranged dps spot in our 10m group. If you are not one of those Classes/Specs we are looking for you shouldn't hesitate to apply, we are looking for Backup Raiders aswell. If you are more of a Casual player the Backup Raider spot in the guild might be just what you are looking for!

Greetings LTM :)
This is just a quick post from my side to comment on the recent raids we have been doing. Well done to all for killing magmaw, omnitron and conclave of winds, it was good raids, everyone seemed to have decent focus on commitment. Our next raid however, was a disaster due to last minute cancellations and dc's.
Just a few pointers for everyone to keep in mind, and said with all due respect, Elvispen (GM) is trying very hard to make this a respectable guild, for us to go far and hopefully get well ranked, LTM is not a charity orginisation and there are rules which will be obeyed at all times for the sake of the guild and for its members.
Read carefully!
- No one has a guaranteed spot in the raid team, if you cannot perform consistently in terms of your role, you will be replaced, the more progress we obtain, the tougher the competition will be , people will be lining up to join LTM
- We have ONE raid leader, not 10, when on vent and about to engage a boss, keep quiet, dont talk about random stuff, focus on killing the boss and giving your best.
- We have vent for the success of our raids, USE it, from now on, if you DO NOT have a WORKING microphone, you will not raid and most likely be removed from LTM. As mentioned before, we are not here to feel sorry for anyone, we are here to succeed in raiding.
- Keep downtime to a minimum, if we wipe on a boss, speedily get inside, eat your food and quickly buff. We slack too much in terms of getting back to the raid after a wipe which damages morale and the need to continue.
- AFK breaks will not be tolerated from now, make sure you get your snacks, drinks etc BEFORE the raid starts, we will call out 10 minute breaks after 1-2 flask cycles. If its an emergency, tell your raid leader you will be gone for x amount of minutes, do not just dissapear and keep us waiting.
- Lastly, we want RAIDERS, not people who own a copy of WOW. Come prepared, put in effort to study tactics by heart, we know exactly who does not know tactics the minute we engage the boss, be careful, it might be your last raid in LTM. Learn from your mistakes, don't repeat them 3, 4, 5 times in a row, it only shows you are an incapable raider with no raid awareness whatsoever.
Other than that, well done overall i'd say, we have a good start, a decent setup and i believe we can do very well in the coming weeks if everyone gives their best.

Avidios is back.. But now known as : Live the Moment (LTM)
Avidios was created not long after Ulduar was release in Wotlk.. We started to build up a serious semi hardcore raiding guild focused on end game raids. After a while of recruiting members to the guild we had built up a steady guild roster with people that were able to play properly and people we could also have fun with during raids (Althought we had some nerd rages from Dodaren during ICC time hehe) ! But in the end of wotlk expansion we lost alot of ppl most of the ppl leaving or quitting the game completely were officers or others high ranked guild members that helped to keep the guild in good shape. This caused the guild to be unbalanced, me and the rest of the officer team that were left tried to keep the guild ongoing but it was very hard as we had to recruit alot of new ppl and try them out, by doing that we had to start over all of our icc progress for the new members that had to learn our guild tactics and so on. So at the end of Wotlk the guild was disbanded because all of our officers didn't feel like playing the game at all anymore. So now 1-2 months into the Cataclysm expansion some of the officer/GM team decided to get the guild back on track again! So now were more focused than ever to start raiding in cataclysm and be one of the top guilds on the server.
-Best Regards Officer/Guild Master Team of LTM!
